Obituary of Dwaine Durham Sr.

Dwaine Dennis Durham Sr., aged 79, passed into eternal rest on January 19, 2024, in Greeley,
Colorado. Born on July 23, 1944, in the state of Iowa, he was a man of deep love and devotion
for his family and an unwavering dedication to his profession.


 Dwaine is fondly remembered by his family, including his sons D.J. (Teri) Durham of Laramie,
WY, and John (Jennifer) Durham of Loveland, CO. His memory will be cherished by his
grandchildren Shelby, Jasmine, Stormy, Hunter, Addison, Avery, and great-grandson Asher
James Durham. He also leaves behind his brothers Don and David Durham, along with numerous
relatives and cherished friends. Dwaine was preceded in passage by his parents, Sherman "Ken"
Durham and Eleanor Durham, and his sister Tomma Jean Elliott.


 An alumnus of Pierce High School, Dwaine embarked upon a commendable career spanning 45
years as an over the road truck driver. His tenure with Preferred Cartage Trucking until his
retirement in 2016 was marked by hard work and dedication.


 Beyond his professional life, Dwaine took great joy in the game of Canasta, which he played
with enthusiasm alongside family and friends. These gatherings were a source of much joy and
laughter, and the memories created will continue to resonate with all who were part of them.


 A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to mourn the
passing of Dwaine Dennis Durham Sr. at a memorial service to be announced at a future date.
Northern Colorado Crematory of Greeley, CO, has been entrusted with the cremation.
