Obituary of Mary Linda Louise Camp-Johnson

Mary Linda Louise Camp-Johnson

Linda passed away at home July 31, 2023.  She was born November 25, 1951, to Harold and Lois (Polley) Camp in Johnstown, Colorado.  Linda graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1970.  After high school, Linda attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.  She graduated with a degree in Library Science.  After graduation, Linda took a job as a bartender at Daggershaws Den in Fort Morgan.  She enjoyed it so that it became her profession from then on and she worked at various bars in Fort Morgan. She likes mixing cocktails and visiting with people.

In 1992 Linda married Dave Johnson. They both had an interest in vintage items. Particularly windmills and woodburning stoves.  They inherited the business, Stoves of Yesteryear from Dave's dad, Val Johnson.  They restored vintage stoves and manufactured parts in their foundry until Dave's death in 2017.

Linda was a true joy to her friends and family. She was small but mighty! A sweet soul and one of the strongest person you'd ever meet.   Linda was one of a kind. When asked what her favorite food was, she replied, potato chips. She will truly be missed.  Linda loved her home, her yard, and flowers. She was grateful for the help she received so she could stay at home until her death.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Dave Johnson and his parents Val and Ann Johnson and her parents Harold and Lois Camp. She is survived by her brother Lewis Camp and his wife Lynelle, one special niece Misty Goodrich and her husband Mike, two very dear cousins and friends Phyllis Nelson and Mike Hawley and a dear friend Angel Tellez.

A celebration of her life is planned for September 9 at 4pm at the Block (former Steak Out) in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Any donations can be made to American Cancer Society in leu of flowers.
