Charlotte Heidrick

Obituary of Charlotte Jean Heidrick

Charlotte Jean Heidrick age 73, of Greeley, formerly of Brush, passed away peacefully Friday, August 11 at FairAcres Manor.

After high school graduation, “Sharlie” as many remember her, went to Washington D.C, and worked for the FBI.  She later returned to Brush where she met her sweetheart Steve Heidrick and they were married July 13, 1973.  The two of them, and daughter Nicole Danielle, born September 20, 1980, ran the Outpost northeast of town and later Shakey’s Pizza west of Fort Morgan.  They eventually moved to the Denver area and both Charlotte and Steve were employed by the US Postal Service for 25 years.  Their little family of three enjoyed extensive travels whenever they could, until Nicole’s death in April 2013.

Charlotte was also preceded in death by her parents Harold and Eleanor Lapp and her in-laws Jack and Helen Heidrick all of Morgan County.

Charlotte and Steve moved back to Brush March of 2017.  After Steve’s death May of 2018, CJ continued to live in their home and then moved to Arbor apartments March 2021.  As her health began failing she moved to FairAcres fall of 2021.

Surviving siblings are Susan (Bill) Kammerer of Weldona, Rick (Barbara) Lapp and Gary (Debra) Lapp of Fort Morgan.  Also, sister-in-law Kathleen Denham and brother-in-law JD Heidrick. Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, greats and grands that she cherished.

A Celebration of Charlotte’s life will be hosted by family this fall.  Friends and extended family are encouraged to share memories with us.
