Obituary of Adolfo Martinez Calderon

Adolfo M. Calderon, age 92 of Fort Collins Colorado, went to be with our Lord on July 15th of 2023. He was born in the small town of Cebulo, Texas, to Refugio and Elisa Calderon on November 28th, 1930. Adolfo was married to his wife, Maria Calderon, may she rest peace for 37 years. Together, Adolfo and Maria loved and raised a large family of 11 children and 2 stepchildren. Sadly, Eliseo went with our Lord at the tender age of 6 months. Adolfo and maria led a fulfilling life, loving and raising their family and working to make ends meet. Adolfo worked at a Texaco gas station to provide for his family. When he was not working, he was gardening and riding his tractor with his loving children. He grew many delicious vegetables, including tomatoes, peppers, and squash. He also grew red roses for his beautiful wife Maria because they were her favorite. After working at the gas station, he went on to work with his brother Arestio Calderon at a bakery. Later, he would take a welding class and work as a ranch hand to later supervise the ranch hands and then retire. He later lost a second son, Adolfo Jr. Due to an accident. Overall, facing hardships and loss, Adolfo lived a good life alongside his grandson Jeremy, who would go on to take care of him in his later years to his last days on earth. He would be well known for being a hard worker, a good provider, a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather, and so much more. There is a lot to describe the man he was. He was and forever will be loved and remembered by the lives he touched and the warmth affection and acceptance he has shown to all.

Adolfo was preceded in death by his two parents, Refugio, and Elisa Calderon, two sons, Elieso Calderon and Adolfo Jr. Calderon and his loving wife Maria Calderon. He is survived by his grandson Jeremy (Travis) Lovato Calderon, daughter Julia (Luis) Quiros, son Charlie Calderon, daughter Sofia (Manuel)Hermosillo, son Blas Calderon, daughter Rose (max)Calderon Reyes, son Leroy (Silvia) Calderon, daughter Alice (Steve) Bittle, son Eddie (Mario) Zamora Calderon, son Danny (Tara)Calderon. And several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held Friday August 4, 2023, from 1pm-3:30pm at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8^th Street, Greeley, Co 80631. A celebration of life will be held Friday August 4, 2023, at 5pm at 4412 East Mulberry lot 269 Fort Collins Co 80524, after services food and drinks provided.
