Obituary of Joel Alexander Delgado

Joel Alexander Delgado, born on September 27, 1992 in Greeley, CO to Ermelinda Diaz and Jaime Joel Delgado, passed away on the morning of June 24, 2023.

Joel was a very happy child growing up and was very athletic, although it didn’t seem so. He tried several sports, such as karate, football, and wrestling. He really loved his action figures throughout his childhood and his uncles would always tease him about them being dolls.

His sons adored him and got to see the gentle giant that he truly was. Most people were not aware of this, unless you were his friend.

Unfortunately, Joel lost his way at some point and had a difficult time finding his way back to the path he had set for himself.

Joel is now an angel looking down on us and is no longer lost or in pain.

He will be terribly missed by all who knew him.

Joel is survived by his sons, Emilio Alarcon and Jolvanni Alexander Delgado; mother, Ermelinda Delgado; father, Jaime Joel Delgado; sister, Venezia Marque Ramos-Delgado; aunts, Ericka(Melvin) Ramey, Elaine Diaz; uncles, Enrique Diaz Jr. and Edward Diaz and wife Janie Flores.

 

He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Alyssa Alarcon (5/8/2021) and his aunt Esmeralda Meza (10/15/2016).

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 7 2023 at Northern Colorado Crematory 700 8^th St, Greeley CO 80631.

A viewing will take place at 9am, with the service to follow at 10 am.

Following the service, a reception will be held at Boomer House, located at 1024 8^th St, Greeley CO 80631.
