Robert Duain Walter

Robert Duain Walter of LaSalle, CO passed away peacefully at his home June 28, 2023, at age 72. Robert was born June 7th, 1951, at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Gladys Jurgens and William Brown. He joined the Army in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1971.

Robert had many skills. He drove long haul for many years and then became a car salesman and repossessed vehicles. His biggest passion was riding motorcycles. Robert married Eve Padilla in May of 2004. In his retirement he enjoyed working on his trike, visiting with family, and throwing ball with the dogs. He also loved volunteering his time at the American Legion and VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Eve, and daughters; Rhonda (Brian) Moody of Cedar Rapids, IA. Sheila (Steve) Bourassa of Greeley, and Becky Walter also of Greeley, a brother Jack (Sherry) Walter, and Uncle, Kenneth Jurgens, all of LaSalle. He is also survived by many grandkids and great grandkids, nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, JoJo.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Irvin Walter, and both sets of grandparents.

There will not be a formal service, but all are welcome to a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 6p-8p at Gilcrest Baptist Church, 802 Birch St Gilcrest, CO 80623.
