Obituary of Jim Flockhart

James Allen Flockhart, (72), of Loveland, Colorado, passed away April 20, 2023, after battling a short illness. James, fondly known as Jim, was born to Kenneth Flockhart and Norma Jean Ruby on February 7, 1951, in Nevada, Iowa. Jim loved life and loved the Rocky Mountains, in 1976

he moved to Loveland, Colorado and worked for local contractors in the area ultimately ending his career in 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Jim loved all old westerns, Elvis, and Star Trek and throughout the years amassed a sizable collection of memorabilia. 

Jim is survived by his kids, Kris (Garrett), Ricky, Kelly, Helena, and Jeremy (Julia). And his 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He is also survived by his sisters Carol & Marian and his brother Lonnie (Robin). Jim is predeceased by his mother, Norma Jean, his father Kenneth, his brother John, and niece Angie and his grandparents.

In his later years Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and taking his beloved dog Coco on her daily walk at the Sculpture Garden in Loveland. Jim held many titles in life, but his favorite role was being a father.

Jim will be greatly missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and his dog Coco. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family to help with expenses.

A small service will be held at Foothills Baptist Church on April 29, 2023, at 10:30. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life which will be held on June 18, 2023 in Boone, Iowa.
