Obituary of Theodore Scott Eyl

Theodore Scott Eyl (Ted), youngest son of Lyle Wray Eyl and Mary Jane Manifold, left this plane on April 11, 2023 in Greeley, Colorado. Ted was born in Denver, Colorado on January 15,

1951.

 

He loved his family and all of his friends dearly. He received great joy from cooking for and feeding others. He enjoyed his farm in the San Luis Valley, genealogy, the beach, gardening, and spending time with his extended family and friends. During his lifetime he worked in numerous locations, from the San Luis Valley, Colorado, to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Greeley, Colorado and Grand Junction, Colorado. Working as a farmer, an Asphalt Plant operator, a student, and an Engineering Tech. He was also a Yogi, a Broncos fan, jack-of-all-trades, a lifelong learner, deep researcher of the past, and a fun person to be around.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kay Logan Eyl, their daughter Lacie Mallander and her husband Sean Mallander, their son Aaron Eyl and his wife Kim Cilli-Turner, older siblings Lyle “Muggs” Eyl (Lois), Barbara Lawlor, Denny Eyl, brothers and sisters in-law Richard Logan (Nancy Howard), Robert Logan (Mary), nephews and nieces, Wade Eyl, Al McWilliams (Anita), Jeff McWilliams (Karla), Kevin Eyl (Melody), Marilee McWilliams, Morgan Eyl, Jill McWilliams, Denny Eyl, Clark Eyl (Jocelyn), Joshua Logan (Jess), James Logan (Jordan), and Joseph Logan, as well as many great and great-great nephews and nieces, other extended family and life long friends.

 

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

 

 

A Celebration of a Life Well Lived, will be in Greeley, Colorado September 2, 2023.
