Obituary of William Lee Coney

William “Bill” Coney age 70, passed away peacefully at home with his wife Deborah and his dog Scotty by his side. He is survived by his son James (wife Carrie) and their three children: Harlie (husband Francis); Megan (fiancée Kyle); and Austin.  Also, daughter Brenda and her son, Thomas (fiancé Jessica), and their daughter (Bill’s, Great Granddaughter) Ashlynn. Bill was the eldest of six children (predeceased by sisters, Diane and Debbie), leaving behind three of his siblings: brothers Larry and Gary, sister Karen, and their families. Bill was a man who loved the outdoors and would make any excuse to make it into the mountains. He loved fishing, camping and most of all hunting.  Over the years he created many funny and crazy stories, many coming from hunting trips or just his everyday life. Bill spent 18 years of his working life in Communications, until 2012 when he was diagnosed with liver cancer. For the next eleven years he put up a long and hard fight against it. We are grateful for the time we had with him.  Bill, being the person he was, touched so many people and is the greatest gift any family could ask for.  He loved his family to the fullest; WE LOVE and WILL MISS HIM DEARLY.
