Cedric Duane Woods, 38, of Greeley, CO, passed away Friday February 24th, 2023 at his home.

Cedric was born on May 25th, 1984 in Amarillo, TX. to Nolon Woods and Janice Vega. Cedric moved to Colorado as a teenager, and graduated in 2002 from Greeley Central

High School in Greeley, CO. He then attended CSU for a period of time. He was employed

at J.M. Smuckers in Longmont, CO. at the time of his death.

 

 

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Marissa Woods and their three sons Amadrick, Azick, and Arian, all of Greeley, CO. His father Nolon Woods and stepmother Dana Woods of Amarillo, TX. Six sisters, April, Brittany, Lea, Vivian, and Naela, all of Amarillo, TX. Brothers, Joshua and Nolon lll, of TX. Father-in-law Ted Trujillo Sr.,

mother-in-law Miss Carla Trujillo, of Greeley, CO. Brother-in-laws Ted Trujillo (Amanda), Adrian Trujillo (April), of Greeley, CO., and Paul Ouanemalay of Lowell, MA., ten nephews and six nieces, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers’ Johnnie Mae Trotter and Virginia Woods, mother Janice Vega, sister Elexias Ouanemalay, and cousin Alvin “Bo'' Strong.

 

In his spare time Cedric enjoyed basketball, collecting Jordan shoes, listening to music, dancing (especially ‘How to Dougie’), watching sporting events, cutting hair, cooking,

and playing video games, such as Zelda and Mario Kart. He was also known for his quick wit. Being the man he was, Cedric enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was the biggest supporter to his boys in coaching, practicing, and attending their sporting events. He loved his wife Marissa, in which you would often find the two joking with each other. He worked very hard to give her a good life. He was such an inspiration to many, and will greatly be missed.

 

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at 10:00am at  Mosaic Church
