Obituary of John Joe Lovato

John Joe Lovato, 80 years old of Gallup New Mexico spent his last few years in Greeley Colorado, passed away on February 25th, in Greeley Colorado after a long fight with Dementia.


Joe was born in Maes New Mexico to Edward and Floraida Lovato (Olguin) on March 19th 1942 He went to school in Eaton, Co.  Joe married Carmelita Montoya in May of 1968 in Greeley, CO. He worked for Monfort meat packing company for several years, before working for CDOT until retirement. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. 
Joe was a strong believer in Christ and was involved with ministry, through his Church all Nations Assembly of God, in Gallup New Mexico. He looked forward to eternal life!
 
Joe is preceded in death by his parents.

Joe is survived by his children, Lonnie Lovato ( Laurie Lovato), Sandra Lovato Foster (Kevin Foster), 5 brothers and 4 sisters; Gloria Hood, Maria Romero, Castella Nuanez,  George Lovato, Ted Lovato, Betty Lovato, Tony Lovato, Eddie Lovato and Don Lovato, Grandchildren Tara, Jessica, Levi, Katie, Christian, Michael, Paul, and Justin, 9 great-Grandchildren, 1 great-great Grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday July 5th at 10:00am, beginning with Military Honors at Northern Colorado Crematory.
