Obituary of Ramon Ybarra

Ramon (Ray) Ybarra, 71, of Greeley, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2023.

 

Born on November 17, 1951 in Lockney TX to Ambrocio and Manuela Ybarra, Ray loved fishing and camping with his sons and listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival. He enjoyed watching stand-up comedy and true crime TV. He loved baseball and his fondest memories were playing for the Greeley Grays for Alvin Garcia and baseball at Greeley West under Coach Greg Riddoch. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict.

 

Ray loved his Family and is survived by his sons, Eloy Ybarra, Herman and wife Bambi Ybarra all of Greeley, and Billy and wife Laura Ybarra of Holden, MA; brothers Perfidio Ybarra and Gene Ybarra both of Greeley, and sister Eustolia Gonzales of Lockney TX; Grandchildren Paris and Autumn Musselman, Marc Anthony Rodriguez, Elijah Jacob Anderson, Max and Molly Ybarra; and Former wives’ Blanca Rodriguez and Stephanie Martinez. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Pablo Ybarra, Lupe Ybarra, and sisters Petra Rodriguez and Maria Hernandez. He was a loving father and will be greatly missed.

 

The Ybarra family would like to extend their gratitude to the hospice staff at Northern Colorado Medical Center for their kindness and loving care.
