Obituary of Karrie Marie Willis

Daughter and loving sister, Karrie Marie Willis' love for her family didn’t come to an end with her passing. Karrie went to be with her loving Savior at the age of 25 on the evening of January 27, 2023, in Greeley, Colorado. Born and raised in Greeley, she came into this world to proud parents Thomas Willis & Barbara (Wood) Willis on May 11, 1997.

 

Karrie worked diligently towards her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and took great pride in becoming a qualified medication administration person (QMAP). Through this hard work and dedication, Karrie was able to pursue her dream, caring for her residents. She eventually found herself caring for those at Ashley Manor Memory Care, which included her Grandmother Jeanette. In recent years Karrie expressed a desire to work more closely with animals.

 

Karrie’s love for her family, friends, and residents was selfless, wholesome, genuine, and sweet. She cared for those around her to the full extent of her abilities. Karrie was always there for her family and friends, providing whatever support they needed. She had an ear for listening, a shoulder to cry on, and was ready with a hug when needed. Her love for animals ran deep and extended to her beloved cat Oscar. She also greatly enjoyed playing many games like “Harry Potter” and “Disney Scene-It” and putting puzzles together with her family and friends, collecting rubber duckies, and making those around her laugh.

 

Karrie is survived by her parents, Thomas Willis, and Barbara (Wood) Yates; siblings, Tod, Evan, Thomas, Quintin, and Stephani Willis, Elivia, Elliott, and Nina Dschaak, Zaiden Long, and Logan Yates; grandmother, Carol Willis; grandfather, Carl Wood; Aunts & Uncles, Paul Willis, Andy Wood, Heather Austin, and Rebekah Wood; numerous cousins, and many extended family members and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Jeanette (Anderson) Wood; Arthur L. Willis II; dear friend Tyler Kauffman; and great-grandparents.

 

A private funeral service will be held, please contact family for information.
