Obituary of Cordell Homer Dye

Cordell Homer Dye, 71, of Kersey, Colorado, gained his angel wings, on January 6, 2023, in Greeley, Colorado.

 

Cordell was born in New Berlin, New York to Homer & Phyllis (Boldon) Dye on February 17, 1951. On September 2, 1978, in West Winfield, New York, Cordell married the love of his life, Crystal (Carpenter) Dye.

 

Cordell was a third-generation dairy owner started his dairy which he named after his first dairy cow “Sadona”.

 

Cordell’s pride and joy was his grandson, Wyatt. Cordell was his father figure as well as his best friend. Grandpa taught Wyatt a lot about the dairy and they did many things together.

 

Cordell was a sweet and kind man, everyone who knew him enjoyed talking to him. He had a heart of gold for his family, friends and cows.

 

Cordell is survived by his wife Crystal of 46 years; children, Lindsay & Travis Dye; grandson, Wyatt Dye; siblings, Terence (Georgia) Dye, Tamara (Jim) Kane, Colin (Deanna) Dye, and Mindy (Steve) Rickard; and niece Amanda (Brad) Hoffer-Dye and a large loving extended family.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2023.
