Pamela Berryhill

Obituary of Pamela Sue Berryhill

Pamela Sue Berryhill went to bitch slap her late husband and younger brother and state her case to the lord December 15, 2022.  Pam was born to Sherman and Frieda Pope January 6, 1953, in Denver, Colorado.

Pam was raised on the family farm north of Wiggins.  The farm is where she developed a deep love and appreciation for her younger brother, Duane.  They were best of friends and remained close all their lives.  She attended Wiggins High School and graduated with the Class of 1971.

After High School she did secretarial work for the Wiggins School District, then moved onto property management in Fort Morgan.  Upon moving to Fort Morgan, she found love where all Morgan Countians find love, The Queens Lounge.

Pam married the love of her life Hal Berryhill on February 19th, 1982.  Hal and Pam were married in Fort Morgan and later moved to Durango where Pam continued her career as a Property Manager and met many lifelong friends.  She remained in Durango until Hal’s death and moved back to Fort Morgan in 1993.

Upon her return, she reunited with Duane, Susan, and the kids on the family farm with farmers markets, attended countless FACs, and became very close with her only niece and nephew and all their friends.

Pam loved her family, her friends, her dogs (all of them), a tall drink, a long slow smoke, all Colorado sports teams especially the Denver Broncos…. even after the Russell Wilson trade and the abysmal season they had this year.  Pam was also an avid bowler in her younger years. She was never afraid of a good time or meeting new friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband Hal Berryhill, her parents Sherman and Frieda Pope, her brother Duane Pope, and her dogs Harry, Barry, and Sophie Lynn (Pammy, you know it pains us to mention the damn dogs in the obituary…. but we did it for you because we love you as much as you loved them). She is survived by; her step sons, Brett (Rebecca) Berryhill of Destin, Florida and Brian (Jen) Berryhill of Broomfield, Colorado, her Sister-in-Law Susan Pope, niece Shannon (Martin) Beauprez of Wiggins, nephew and self-proclaimed best friend Derek (Cynthia) Pope of Wiggins, the Thelma to her Louise, Karen Bretey, close friend Susan Thelen, and last but not least her 4 favorite humans, her great nieces and nephews, Alison Beauprez, Macie Beauprez, Barret Pope, and Axel Pope.

Rather than a funeral, we are going to have a party, because that's what Pam would have wanted.  Her favorite niece and nephew will host a final birthday party in her honor on January 6, 2023, at 6:00 pm at the Pope Farms Shop, 19502 County Road 3, Wiggins.  In lieu of flowers, bring beer, wine or whiskey for yourself and a sense of humor.
