Obituary of Luella Valentine Kauffman

Luella Valentine Kauffman, age 91, passed away peacefully at North Colorado Medical Center on December 2, 2022, with her loving family by her side.  Luella was born on February 14, 1931, in Fort Collins to Christine and Henry Helzer.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Herman Henry Kauffman, parents, and siblings.  She is survived by her three sons, Calvin, Ron, and George, her four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Luella served as postmaster in Gill, CO until her retirement in 1995. She was also a school bus driver for Weld RE-1.  Luella loved playing cards with friends, traveling, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, reading, cooking, and playing with her great grandchildren and 2 dogs. 

Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at St. Paul’s Congregational Church in Greeley, CO.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the church she so loved – St. Paul’s Congregational Church.
