Obituary of Jeanetta Louise Moses

In Loving Memory of

Jeanetta "Boots" Louise Moses

aka "Bootsie Lou"

With warm Hearts, The Moses Family

embraces the passing of our

beloved Boots. Her sharp wit,

sense of humor, deep love for sports,

warm heart, and generous spirit will be

deeply missed.

-Jeanetta "Boots" Louise Moses, aka "Bootsie Lou", passed away peacefully at home the morning of October 24, 2022 in Loveland, CO at the age of 83.

-Boots was born December 19th 1938 in Winner, SD to Carl Harrison Moses and Emelia Anna Jares Moses. She was number 9 out of the 10 siblings: 5 Brothers and 5 Sisters.

-She graduated in 1956 from Winner High School, worked and retired from Mountain Bell. She worked at Nelson and Sally's print shop and The Gregory Times-Advocate for several years, where she helped to edit the newspaper.  Boots was most definitely over qualified for the job as we all know how much she loved her crossword puzzles and don't forget her beautiful penmanship.

-Boots lived and took care of Grandma Emily until her passing in 1986. Boots loved all the nieces and nephews sitting on her lap in her famous rocking recliner. She always loved the company and cards and the beer, especially during hunting season. All of the cousin's have very fond memories of 417 Lamro St.

-Boots was an awesome athlete and loved sports. If female sports were around when she was in high school, she would've broken all of the records. She enjoyed watching sports and influenced some of the nephews to become Chicago Bears fans, which is why nobody was allowed to watch the Vikings on her TV.

-In 1998, shortly after sister Dorothy "Dot" passed away, Boots decided it was time to move to Colorado to live with brother "Cookie" and sister Kate. Jares Moses and Dean DiPaola drove up on a Friday, loaded the truck, left on Saturday showed up in Colorado on Sunday and moved her in. Then it was the "Cookie", "Bootsie Lou", and Kate show.

-Boots loved animals and loved to watch the horses and doggies on the race track. She even grew to like cats, as evidenced by her offering her lap to the two that shared her home the final years of her life.

-Boots had an amazing gift for making each and every one of us feel like we were her favorite.  She could always bringing out the best in us and give us an "atta boy, boy!" or "atta boy, girl!". While she never warmed up to the new electronic gadgets we can't function without, she got the biggest kick out of looking at photos and posts on Facebook and keeping up with our growing family.

-We Love you Boots, you will be greatly missed by all.
