Obituary of Ron Garey

Ronald L Garey was born on March 15,1943 in Villisca, IA to Robert Garey and Evelyn Findley Deines. Ron passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland CO on October 7, 2022.

He is survived by his children Haley Garey, Craig CO; Kris Garey, Greeley CO; Cleve Garey, Temple TX; and Cole Garey (Chelsey), Omaha NE. He has 9 grandchildren who he enjoyed spending time with and was very proud of each of them and their accomplishments. Ashley Barber, Amanda Barber, Alexander (AJ) Barber, Kendell Garey, Andrew Garey, Nathan Fogle, Hayden Garey, Mason Garey, and Lincoln Garey. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon Cotton, Holdenville OK and Marcia (Conrad) Oman, Montrose CO and by many relatives and good friends near and far.

Along with spending time with his family and friends, Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved horses. Ron retired from Fort Robinson after working 25 years in the Carpentry division. He also worked at the Crawford & Gordon Livestock Markets for many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held March 18, 2023, in Crawford, NE. Time and place to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department in Crawford, NE.
