Obituary of BreAnna Dawn Laufenberg

Mother of Skylar and Shane, Daughter of Regina and Tim Sr., and Sister of Daniel, Rachel, Stephanie, Tim Jr., and Bryan, Granddaughter, of Gerald and Nancy Nelson, Billie Jo and Jack Holt, and David and Carol Laufenberg, Aunt of Jakob, Tyler Grace, Aurelia, Layla, Jackson, Mikeala, Tess, and Emma.

 

 

 

It is with great sadness that our family announce the tragic passing of BreAnna Dawn Laufenberg on September 27, 2022, near Greeley, Colorado as a result of a fatal auto accident.

 

BreAnna was born to Regina Nelson on May 15, 1988, in Modesto, California. At only 4 lbs. 11 oz. she entered the world a wild and head-strong force. In 1995, BreAnna and her sister, Stephanie were adopted by Timothy Laufenberg Sr. He is the only man she ever knew or loved as ‘daddy.’ As our family relocated, BreAnna gained friends in Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, and New Mexico. After birthing her children in Michigan, she eventually settled in Colorado, living in Colorado Springs prior to her move this year to Greeley.

 

BreAnna was a troubled but beautiful spirit whose journey in this life was tragically cut short. Despite the obstacles life handed her, she cared about others and loved her two children above all else. BreAnna had an incredible intellect and wit, and a wild, creative spirit. At her children’s request she will be laid to rest in Michigan in a private family service in October 2022.

 

A Celebration of BreAnna’s life will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A date has not yet been set, but a social media announcement will be made soon with details and exact location. Our family would love to hear any stories or view pictures you may have as we prepared for this Celebration of her life.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations to help with burial expenses can be made directly through her mother, Regina Nelson. All donations received in excess of burial expenses will be provided for her children’s support and care. They were the loves of her life – and in her own words “my greatest accomplishments on earth.”
