Obituary of Kayleen Amanda De Signori

Kayleen A. (Richie) De Signori, 33, passed away on August 12, 2022, in Greeley, CO.  She was born on November 13, 1988, to Shellaney Sweetin and Timothy Richie in Longmont, CO.  She grew up in Longmont where she attended Skyline High School.

Kayleen married Phillip De Signori on August 24, 2013, in Estes Park, CO.  In 2014, she graduated from IBMC with an Associate’s Degree in medical assisting, a profession she excelled at and truly loved. 

Kayleen was an amazing wife and mother.  She was loving, supportive, kind and always tried to make all her kids’ wishes come true. She would support the kids in their school functions, brag of their accomplishments, and couldn’t be more proud or appreciative to be called Mom.   She had a caring heart and would help anyone and everyone that came into her life.  She enjoyed being outside, and being at the lake and on the boat was one of her most favorite things to do because it was a day to spend with family.  Kayleen was an animal lover and was always adding pet “children” to their home, and once part of the family, they were spoiled like no other.  Kayleen was also extremely smart and dedicated, and school came easy to her which allowed her to graduate with honors with her degree. The importance of school is something she spoke with her children about often. 

During family time movie nights were always a must, which is shown by the enormous number of DVDs they have.  Fishing and camping, along with random drives to the mountains, were ways she loved to pass her time, along with cooking and trying new recipes.  Experimenting was always fun and Phil and the kids were always the “guinea pigs” to the newest recipe which sometimes worked out, other times not so much, but definitely brought memorable times.

She loved taking pictures of the kids and would find the most amazing shots, which she must have inherited from her grandpa Ron.  The love she had for taking and displaying pictures is shown by all the pictures hanging around the family home.  She was never afraid to get her hands dirty, and many nights she could be found with Phil in the garage working or tinkering with the tools and fixing cars.

Her love for dolphins was incredible, and she finally was able to fulfill her dream of getting up close and personal with dolphins when they went to Las Vegas and she was able to touch them.  She said, “it was my dream come true.”

The only thing greater than her love for dolphins was her love for her family.  Phil and the kids meant the world to her and her love for her family was never doubted.  She had special relationships with each and every one of her sisters and brothers, her mom and dad, her grandparents and all of her extended family and friends.  She loved deeply and in return was loved just as much. To know her was to love her.  Kayleen enhanced all of our lives.

In addition to her parents Shellaney Sweetin and Timothy Richie, she is survived by her husband, Phillip De Signori, and four children, Damion Richie, Emily De Signori, Lillian De Signori and Jackson De Signori; siblings Faith (Jeronimo) Moreno, Brian (Courtney) Richie, Heather (Marco) Richie, Marianne (Jermiah) Schale, and Jake (Trisha) King; grandparents Rita and Ron Sweetin; stepmother Brenda Richie; step grandparents Susan and Tom Moya, and Clyde and Dina May; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends she met throughout her life.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in law, Larry and Louella De Signori, and her paternal grandmother Mary Fuller.

Memorial service to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26^th at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8^th Avenue, in Greeley.
