Obituary of Jonathan Andrew Shreeves

Jonathan Andrew Shreeves 38, of Greeley, passed away on March 15, 2022.

 

Jonathan was born in Council Bluffs Iowa, to Thomas Weelborg and Wanda Shreeves on July 24,1983.   

 

Jon and his family made Colorado his home in 1997.  He enjoyed music, cars and video games.

Before the family moved to Colorado he had played Pee Wee football for a few years. He attended John Evans Junior High and Greeley West High School ultimately getting his GED at Aimes.

 

Jon worked many various jobs. He was most successful as a cook at Old Chicago in Greeley.

Jon was given the nickname ‘Big Bear’ by a close friend but if you knew him you would know he was a soft hearted individual with a big exterior. He had a way of making people feel at ease with his gentle and contagious smile. He had a wonderful laugh and liked to make people laugh with jokes and silly voices.

While Jon’s life wasn't always easy he had touched many hearts and lives along his journey.

 

Jonathan is survived by his Mother and Father, sisters Amber Mathias, Emma Shreeves and brother Jacob Weelborg and a large loving extended family, as well as many friends.

 

Funeral services to be determined at a later time.
