Obituary of Sonia Dominguez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sonia Dominguez of a Greeley, Colorado, who passed away on March 31st, 2022.

 

Sonia was born in Laredo, Texas on November 27th, 1952. She was the child of Socorro and Roberto Treviño. She loved going everywhere whether it was to the Thrift stores or Walmart on 23rd. If there was a clearance sale, she was there. In 1967, Sonia met Luis Peña in Laredo, Texas. They went on to have 3 children, Tony, Louie, and Sandra Peña. Sonia was the most loving person you can have ever known. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her Grandchildren. Anyone who knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that’s all that ever mattered to her. If there was anyone in need, she did not hesitate to help. That was the type of person Sonia was.

 

Sonia is preceded in death by her parents, Socorro and Roberto Treviño; her siblings, Yolanda, Roberto, Rodolfo, Roel; her great granddaughter, Scarlette Peña.

 

She is survived by a loving family: Her kids, Tony (Nickie), Louie, and Sandra, her brother Rolando, her grandkids, Vanessa and her husband Santana, Maria and Joel Vargas, Taysha, Nevaeh, Leilani, her nieces and nephews, Natasha, Chris, Joey, Marcus, Diana, Rudy, Tony, her great grandchildren, Hugo, Nadia, Zandra, Sj, Mason, Novalee, Amiaya, and all the countless friends and lives Sonia has touched throughout her life.

You’ll forever be in our hearts Grandma. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
