Obituary of Ralph Rowland Craven

 

Ralph passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday February 13th, 2022. Ralph was born east of La Salle, CO to Ernest and Myrtle Craven on July 24th, 1931.

 

Ralph is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. 

 

Ralph grew up in Kersey, CO. He was a loyal hardworking family man. In April of 1951 he married the love of his life Aleta Ford and soon after started a family. He worked for Consumer Oil, later know as Agland for 44 years. He enjoyed spending his time in the mountains camping and fishing. Spending time with family was important to him, he had an undeniable sense of humor. To know Ralph was to love him, he could make anyone smile and laugh. 

 

Ralph is preceded in death by his children Calvin and Ellen Craven; his parents Ernest and Myrtle Craven; his brothers Leonard, Vernon, Gerald, and Leo Craven; and grandson Anthony Craven. Survived by his wife of 70 years Aleta Craven of Evans; his two children Michael (Jennifer) Craven of Loveland, and Susan Craven of Greeley; his sister Fern Benjamin of Gill; his 3 grandchildren Stacy (John) Sfakianos of NC, Brittany (Jarrod) Grounds of Greeley, and Nicholas Craven-Roach of Greeley; and 5 great grandchildren Camryn, Michael, Hannah, Jaxon, and Jameson.
