Obituary of Norman Leroy Bowles

Norm Bowles, age 80, of Greeley, passed away January 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Norm was born in Ft. Lupton, CO to David and Genevieve Bowles.

He graduated from University High School in 1959 and shortly after met and married his soulmate of 61 years, Glenda Harper. They were blessed with three children: Scott Bowles of Memphis, TN (wife Janet and blended family Colby and wife Lauren, Madison and Alex), Mark Bowles of Ft Collins (wife Cathy and daughters Morgan and Carly), Heather McCleave of Greeley (husband Dave and blended family Jaymeson and Conlan).

Norm was a man of many professions and talents including working as a Foreman for Colorado Pipeline, owning an antique store called The Happy Unicorn where The Moxi currently stands, designing and selling custom jewelry at his shop in Estes Park, building custom homes and then owned his own painting and remodeling business for many years. He loved art, music, nature, animals and classic street rods.

He adored his family and especially loved supporting his children and grandchildren in their sports and activities. Norm was known by all who were lucky enough to cross his path as a kind, generous and passionate man who stood for equality of all humankind.

A small, private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you please pass on a random act of kindness in his honor.
