Obituary of Maria Evangelina Garcia

Maria Garcia, 74, of Fort Morgan, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2022, from Greeley, Colorado.

 

Maria was born in Brownsville, Texas to Cipriano & Ramona (Ramirez) Gracia on May 26, 1947.  In 1974, in Oklahoma, Maria married the love of her life, Guillermo ‘Willie’ Garcia.

 

Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  We all would say, “She was not your normal grandmother!”  She loved spending time with her family & friends.

 

Maria had a true passion for always listening to her Mexican music & dancing!  She was a heck of a crafty & happy person who enjoyed crocheting and sewing.

 

Maria is survived by her children, Steve Martinez, Rick (Luz) Martinez, Rhonda (Scott) Sargent, Gina (Salvador) Hernandez, Ted (Adrienne) Florez, and Mark (Stephanie) Martinez; grandchildren, Roxanne, Rick, Elise, Dulciano, Kristy, Rochelle, Anyssa, Abigail, Julissa, Kelcie, Keyan, Nicole, Leonel, Michael, Payton, and Maceon; 13 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Esequiel Gracia, Elizabeth (Alex) Rivera, and Guadalupe Gracia; and a large loving extended family.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Getrudes Tarin.
