Obituary of Alice Martinez

Alice Martinez (Reyes) 55, of Lubbock TX passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 21, 2021. Her loss has left all of her family deeply saddened. She will truly be missed by many in so many ways. Alice was born in Lubbock TX on September 30, 1966 to Joe and Mary Martinez. She was raised in Lubbock where she later moved to Colorado. Alice was a mischievous spirit who feared nothing and loved everyone. Alice’s family was the center beam of her life. She was always giving. She was always just a phone call away when anybody needed her. She always went above and beyond to make sure her family had everything they needed. If there was ever anything she couldn't provide, she would always find another way. Alice was a girly girl always taking pride in her makeup, hair and nails which is why we call her our queen! Alice was also a dedicated wife to her husband Antonio Reyes whom she had spent her past few years with in Hobbs NM. Together they shared their dog Journey who she cherished so much. She was also a strong, outgoing, caring, loving and supportive mother of 5. Alice had a heart of gold, and a smile that lit up any room she walked into. She was dearly loved by family and friends, and although she was taken from this world too soon, her kindness and strength of character will never be forgotten. We are so grateful for the time we got to spend with her. We will forever cherish the memories and love that she gave us. She will always be remembered for the love of her family. We know and those of us who knew her know how much Love she had in her heart. That love will continue to be carried on by her kids and most definitely her grandkids. Alice is survived by her Husband Antonio Reyes of Hobbs NM, Parents Joe and Mary Martinez of Greeley, siblings Diana's Martinez (Robert Martinez) of Cheyenne WY, Brother Joe Martinez of Greeley CO and Melinda Martinez (James Strain) of Windsor CO, Children Joseph Farias (Jodi Farias) of Randolph MA, Miguel Salazar (Vianney Toledo) of Thornton CO, Yesmilda Salazar (Jose Sanchez III), Yvette Tellez (Lorenzo Tellez) and Gerardo Paz (Linda Chavez) of Evans CO, 18 grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice is preceded in her death by Maternal grandmother Martha Rodriguez, baby sister Laura Martinez. Uncle Ray Salas, Paternal grandparents Jose and Trinidad Martinez. A celebration of life and visitation will be held on Monday, January 10th at 1pm at Northern Colorado Crematory. Thank you for all the overwhelming love and support we have received during this difficult time. Alice's children and grandchildren are forever grateful for all the amazing people who loved her just as much as we did.
