Obituary of Donald Johnson

Donald Laverne Johnson., 79, of Greeley Colorado, went on to be with the Lord on November 30, 2021, in Greeley Colorado. Donald was born in Briggsdale Colorado to Homer A. Johnson and Elnora E. Wright on November 11,1942. During Donald’s childhood he was a hard-working young man. Donald attended Central High School as he played for the football team. After high school Donald enlisted in the Navy. He always had a passion and desire to serving his country with great honor. Donald loved to work on vehicles and loved driving trucks. This later allowed him to become a truck driver as he traveled across the United States. Later, Donald was a member of the American Legion Post. There was numerous times Donald was awarded from the Weld County Sheriffs Office as he would donate to the department. Donald’s sense of humor will always be remembered, on Sundays he would purposely wear a pair of holy jeans as he said, "this is a holy day.” He always brought a smile to those around him. Donald is survived by his five children, John & Deneanne Johnson, Fred Johnson, Aeronica &Todd Branch, Judd Johnson and Nichole Amos. He is survived by his twelve grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Donald is survived by a large loving extended family. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Cory Johnson.
