Obituary of Douglas Earl Keil

Douglas Earl Keil died at home surrounded by his loving family on November 26 at the age of 73. Doug was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Earl and Arlene Keil. After graduating from high school he served in the Army Reserves while attending Western Iowa Tech. He was employed by Northwestern Bell in 1971 and worked there until his retirement. Doug started his own carpet cleaning business which he continued to operate after his retirement from the phone company. Doug enjoyed spending time with family and friends, he loved making people smile so he was always quick with a joke and loved to laugh. He also loved anything western; books, movies, music, but especially tractors and his overalls! His positive spirit was an inspiration to so many who knew and loved him. Doug is survived by his wife Cindy and her children; Heidi (Ben) and their daughter Lola; and Brice. His children; Kimberly (Walter) and their two sons, James and Evan; Jennifer (Richard) and their five children, Brady, Graham, Colby, Anna and Emily; and Christopher. His brothers, Dennis and Terry "Joe", as well as many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Arlene. At his request no service will be held.
