Obituary of Allen Donald Zuege

Allen Donald Zuege of Greeley CO passed away on Thursday, November 25th of 2021, at the age of 77 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Allen was born in March 1944 to William H. & Alberta Zuege in Haigler NE, the youngest of 7 siblings. He graduated from Haigler High School in 1962 and soon after joined the United States Air Force, serving his country and protecting our freedom for 4 years. Allen moved to Denver CO and married Ellen Taylor in June of 1967. He went on to live in communities across Northern Colorado for over 25 years, working as a Ranch Foreman. Allen later moved to Greeley CO and worked in home construction until his retirement in 2009. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, William & Alberta, two brothers and three sisters. Allen is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ellen Zuege; their six children (Bryne, Rebecca, Dorine, Nathan, Karen and William) and their spouses; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother Calvin and other family members, too numerous to list, that will miss him dearly. A memorial will be held in Haigler NE in the Spring of 2022.
