Gertrude Elizabeth Poitra, 89, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on October 16, 2021in Greeley. Gertrude was born in Belcourt, North Dakota to Collis ‘Tom’ and Rosalie (Bercier) Patnaude on February 2, 1932. On August 18, 1951 in Grand Forks, North Dakota Gertrude married the love of her life, Robert Poitra. Gertrude is survived by her children, Carol (David) Alloy, Omaha, NE; Catherine (Paul) Anderson, Fort Lupton, CO; Gail (Luke) Carney, Grand Forks, ND; Grandchildren, Christopher Breidenbach, Greeley, CO; Tina (Dennis) Archer, Brazil, IN; Lee Morrison, Omaha, NE; Eric Carney, Salem, OH; Brandan Carney, Grand Forks, ND; Great-grandchildren, Leah, Hayden, Jenna Archer; Curtis, Kristofer, Amelia Carney; Colton Carney; and a large loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Arlen Poitra; sister, Agnes (Ernest) LaFromboise, Belcourt, ND; and parents.
