Obituary of Nora Susan "Sue" Bauer-Lara

Nora Susan Bauer-Lara 53, of Ault, passed away at NCMC in Greeley, on October 4th, 2021. She was born in Denver, to Albert and Nora "Sis” (Miller) Bauer on July 15th, 1968. She grew up in Kersey and went to Platte Valley Highschool. She was very close to her older sister Elizabeth "Betsy” Bauer, she passed away in February of 2020. She married Edward Downing in 1992, they had two daughters, Dannielle and Nora Dawn. They later divorced. In 2008, she met the love of her life, Alberto Lara. They were married in 2014. Alberto passed away on June 8, 2021. They loved fishing and spending time with family especially their grandchildren. Nora loved watching The Young and the Restless and listening to TobyMac. She is preceded in death by her parents, uncle Danny, sister Betsy, and her husband Alberto. Nora is survived by her daughters Danielle and Nora Dawn, her ex-husband Ed, step daughter Tricia (Junior) Nanez; grand children Eve, Aaliyah, Jeremiah, sisters-in-law; Hortensia Lara, Francisca (Jessie) Yanes, Maria (Eddie) Garza, Antonia (Sam) Hinojosa, Elsa (Darren) Warren, Arleen Lara, and brother-in-law; Mario (Caroline Forsgren) Lara; and other extended family, her dog Mamas, and good friends Carla, Kathy and Dawn. A service will be held on Sunday, November 7th at 2:00 pm at 1951 E US Hwy 34, Greeley. Due to the sudden passing of Nora, the family is asking for donations to help pay for her expenses.
