Obituary of Lewis Robin Roque

Lewis Roque Sr., 53, of Evans, Colorado, peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2021 in Greeley, Colorado. Lewis was born in Torrance, California to Leonard Roque Sr. & Priscilla Saldana on June 17, 1968. Lewis was also called "Louie” by family and friends. He lived in Compton during his teenage years and some of his adult life. Louie loved to travel and was able to see so many different cities and states. Louie was a funny guy and loved his family. He had two children of whom he loved very much, Lewis Jr, Iliana and his grandson Lewis III. Louie loved his siblings and parents. Louie was the type of guy who would give his things to someone if they really liked it. He loved the Lord and knew a lot about God, he is the one who would tell people about God and give them scripture to help in their situations. Louie was the one who always kept in touch with so many people and helped many people everywhere, more than his family ever knew. He had a hard time finding his place in this world but has finally found his home in heaven, where God is and the family members he missed for so long. Now, he can rest and be happy and he is no longer in pain or hurting. Louie found his place when the lord welcomed him home. We love you Louie and are very sad that you had to leave but feel very blessed that God gave us you for 53 years, you will be missed. Fly high in heaven with everyone that loves you. No more pain and sadness for you, we know that you are up in Heaven making everyone laugh! Love your Sisters Michelle and Lisa and your brother Leonard "Lennie” ****************************************************************************************************************************** My sweet son Louie, he was always traveling but one thing he would always do is calling his momma for holidays, and my birthday no matter where he was. He was always on the move but one thing he always kept faithful to are those phone calls. Which I will miss very much! He always told me how much he loved me, asked how I was feeling, especially when I would go to the hospital. He always stated that he never wanted me to pass before him. He said he knew he could never handle that. He called me his "Ride or Die” and he always sang "Mama” of Boys to Men. Even when he could barely talk, before he passed, he still tried singing the song and I will forever be grateful for those memories. I loved all my children, and one thing he would often tell people is, "Don’t ever talk about my momma’s children, or you will be in trouble”. It was because I had to raise them, my children are my life. We recently lost the youngest of our family and our hearts were broken, and Louie missed him very much. He would often tell me how much he missed Jason and how Jason always came to him in dreams. So now he is in heaven with not only Jason, but his sister Lydia and his father Leonard. My son Louie has been sick for approx. 6 months and he and I talked all the time, whether he was in or out of the hospital. I noticed how he was progressing in his illness. He then moved to Evans, Colorado and started coming to Northern Colorado Medical Center where he passed. I will forever know that he is healed and is no more pain and is with our extended family in heaven. I once told him that he was not dying but moving to a great place where our family that is in Heaven is waiting. He fought and did not want to go as he was worried about those he was leaving behind. I told him do not worry we will keep in touch with his son and daughter and as for me I will be fine and like him I am a fighter. I also told him that when he sees Jesus coming for him, to run into his arms as fast as you can, and I truly believe that is what he did. Because he was struggling to keep breathing and right before he passed his breathing returned to normal again, free flowing not a struggle at all and then he looked at me just like when he was a little boy with those eyes like telling me that he is ok, and he can breathe again. And then he looked up and went home peacefully, and so for all those that prayed for his healing, just know that he was healed before he walked into those pearly gates to be with the Lord and family. Thank you, Jesus, for always being on time as always. Rest in the arms of the Lord my son, till we meet again! MEET ME AT THE TREE! I also want to take this time to thank the many, many people who have opened their doors and hearts to my son, I know he was loved by many, and he also loved many. I know that he really cared about those that allow him to be a part of their life. Thank you for taking care of my son! He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Sr.; brother, Jason Roque; and sister, Lydia Roque. A Celebration of Life will be held in October 2021, in California.
