Obituary of Betty Lou Clithero

Betty Lou Clithero, 95, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Tuesday September 14th, 2021 at her home in Greeley. She was born November 21, 1925 in Hartington, NE to Martin and Betsy Larson. She was the only child growing up. She was raised on her parent’s farm in Hartington, NE. She attended school in Hartington, NE, she then went on to the University of South Dakota where she obtained her bachelor degree in Teaching Home Economics, and finished her education at the University of Northern Colorado with a Master’s degree. She married the love of her life Joseph Clithero on August 3rd, 1952 in Hartington, Nebraska. She was a part of many different organizations including but not limited to, Sons of Norway, P.E.O. Chapter EZ, Old Buckers wife, CHI Omega fraternity, Boy Scouts of America, and 4-H. She worked as a teacher, homemaker and owned multiple businesses. Her and her late husband start B & J Creative Photography from 1991 to 2003 in the Colorado area. She loved traveling the world with her husband and saw many different places of the world. One of her favorite spots to visit was Norway. She also enjoyed spending time with family especially with the great grandchildren. With her teaching degree in Home Economics she helped substitute in many different schools in Northern Colorado. She had 2 children, David Clithero entered into the world on October 9, 1959, Mary Titmus was born on June 2nd, 1963. She watched her daughter get married to Stan (Eddie) Titmus at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She also got to watched her son, marry Peri Gore in Gunnison, CO. She is survived by her daughter Mary Titmus, Daughter-in-law Peri Gore- Clithero, Grandchildren Sandra (Keane) Ververs, Christopher (Kelsey) Titmus, and Jessica (Dustin) Glover. Great-Grandchildren David, Summer, Ciera, Abbigale, Cloe, Logan, and Brooklyn. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, son (David) and son-in-law (Stan). A service will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church on September 23rd, 2021 @2pm.
