Gary Joseph Kapp

Gary J. Kapp, 68, of Greeley, CO passed away October 24, 2023, surrounded by his family after a long illness. Gary was born in Elmira, NY on October 31, 1954, to James A. and Shirley E. Kapp. He graduated from Southside High and Elmira College, Elmira, NY with a bachelor’s degree in history. He moved to Houston, Texas, and later to Greeley, CO, where he was a supervisor at JBS Swift for 40 years.

Gary will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, soft spoken demeanor, and his devoted love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan; daughter, Shannon; stepson, Christopher (Lindsey) Miller; and granddaughters, Chloe, Emily, and Avery; sisters, Mary Kathryn Rutan, Diane (Eric) Yungstrom, and Jean Wise; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Larry Turk, Charles Connell, Paul (Deb) Skouge, and Tom (Nancy) Skouge; along with many nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, James A. Kapp; brother-in-law, Thomas Rutan; sister-in-law Beth Connell. Gary will truly be missed by all.

A private service will be held for the family.
