Obituary of Eddie Earl Chism

Eddie E. Chism was born February 17, 1935, in Bridgeport, Nebraska to Edwin and Eleanor Chism.

He was raised In Holyoak with his siblings Charlotte and Jack.

He lived in Wyoming where he married his first wife and they had four children Larry, Rick, Denise, and Tim. They later divorced and he moved to Colorado and met Jennette Hass.  He raised his Stepdaughter Carol as his own. They later divorced in 1980.

He worked on the railroad and he managed a tire shop in Wyoming. He was also the purchasing agent for a large hospital in California.  In the early 70’s he returned to Colorado and was taught the trade of Butchering at Ft. Lupton Pack. He custom butchered for many of the specialty meat packing houses around Northern Colorado Pierce Packing, Steving in Ft. Collins and Kersey and Yauk’s in Windsor.

In 1988 he met his wife of 35 years Sally.  In 1989 they open a four-wheel drive parts and accessory shop called 4X4 Fantasy’s. He ran the store for 17 years and made many friends. Many stories were told about four wheeling and decking out their vehicles. He retired and him and Sally bought a 5-acre farm where they raised goats, 2 dogs and a cat. He loved his animals.

He is survived by his wife Sally, Stepdaughter Carol Jean, grandkids Colton Parker and Barbra Jean Martnez, 3 great grandkids Avery, Cullen, Abby, His sister Charlotte Craney, Niece Kim Brethauer Great Nephew Roman Smolcic and his kids Brooklyn, Addilyn, and River.   

He is preceded in death by: Father Edwin and Mother Eleanor Chism, Brother Jack Chism Brother in-law Vern Craney and his baby son Eddie Jr.
