Ronald Jump

Obituary of Ronald Lee Jump

We are sad to announce the passing of Ronald L. Jump of Prospect Heights, IL and Pierce, CO.  Born on June 21, 1932, to the late Nina Inman & late George Jump in Rural TX.

Surrounded by his loved ones, he passed away at 91, after a short battle of colon cancer on

September 25, 2023

Ron was the beloved husband of his late wife Susan Jump; caring father of late Shirley (late Bobby) Barrett, late Danny Jump, late Ronnie (Sandy) Jump and Theresa (Jeff) Bartodziej.  Grandfather of Crystal (Jared) Molter, Carie (Chad) Smith, Kellie (Nick) Miller, Dustin (Melissa) Jump, Chelsea Jump, Brian Bartodziej and the late Eric Jump; dear great-grandfather of 6 and Great-Great-Grandfather of 1.

Ron could accomplish anything he set his mind to.  He served in the United State Army as a Green Beret during the Korean war.   After the Army he lived in Prospect Heights IL for 62 years raising his family.  He was a man of many trades, but mainly worked most of his adult life as a maintenance man at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Mt Prospect, IL. He was a huge part of his local community and helped neighbors and friends in times of need.  In March of 2022 he moved to Pierce, CO to live out the remainder of his life being surrounded by all his grandchildren.  During the last year and half of his life, he enjoyed the country life, gardening, and tinkering around in his tool shed.

Although you may be gone from this world, you will never be gone from our hearts and memories.

There will be a memorial in early April 2024, in Oklahoma.  Please contact Crystal Barrett at moltercyrstal@gmail.com, for further information.
