Obituary of Janice Elaine Triplett

In Loving Memory of Janice Elaine Triplett February 5, 1940 – August 29, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janice Elaine Triplett, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on August 29, 2023 at the age of 83. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a life well-lived.

Born on February 5, 1940 in Sterling, CO to Laurance Ray Blair and Gertrude Elvina Richter, Jan was a shining beacon of love, grace, and strength throughout her long and fulfilling journey. She was a remarkable woman whose presence touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As a mother to Rod, Dennis, and Gail, Jan was unparalleled in her devotion and care. She raised her family in La Salle, CO then moved to Greeley, CO. In her 60 years in Greeley, she worked for Pepsi, Kodak, and State Farm, all of which she enjoyed tremendously. She is survived by her son Rod (wife: Suzie), son in law Marc, brother Randy, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her guidance, support, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled in her family. She is preceded in death by her son, Dennis (1959-2020), daughter, Gail (1960-2010), her parents, six brothers, and two sisters.

Jan was an adoring grandmother to five grandchildren and their spouses: Deirdre (Chris), Sara (Derrick), Sam, Rodrick, Derrick; and three great grandchildren: Ava, Maddox, and Cole. Her eyes would light up with joy whenever they were near, and her wisdom and love will continue to shape their lives.

Throughout her life, Jan was known for her generosity, kindness, and compassion. She had a gift for making friends everywhere she went and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Jan had a passion for her long-attended church, Shepard of the Valley Lutheran Church in La Salle, which brought her great joy and fulfillment. She was an avid member of the community senior luncheons, always looking forward to visiting with friends over lunch, and traveling with her friends, adventuring to Ireland, New Orleans, and Branson. Her enthusiasm for life was truly infectious.

Jan's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the love she shared.

A celebration of Jan's life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10am at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church - 225 South 6th Street, La Salle, CO. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and honoring the incredible woman she was. A private burial will take place with family at a later date.

Jan will be dearly missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.

John 16:22: So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
