Obituary of Louise Apple Williamson

Louise Apple Williamson, age 91, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on August 14, 2023, surrounded by family, at North Colorado Medical Center. Louise was born on December 1, 1931, in Greeley, Colorado, to Clay R Apple and Ruth (Wilkins) Apple.  Louise married John A Williamson on December 27, 1952.  They were married until John passed away on February 14, 2001.

Louise graduated from Greeley High School in 1949, attended Grinnell College, in Iowa, for one year and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1953.  They lived in Panama (1954 -1957) while John was in the Air Force.  From 1958 to 1962, they lived in Estes Park, Colorado; from 1962 to 1967, they lived in Orange County, California, and in Sunnyvale, California, from 1967 to1992.  Louise worked as an executive secretary and administrative assistant for many years.  She and John moved back to Greeley to retire in 1992.

Louise belonged to First Congregational Church, Chapter CR of P.E.O. sisterhood, Assistance League of Greeley and A.A.U.W. She enjoyed doing volunteer work during her retirement. 

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Alice Marie McCall and her brother Clay R (Walt) Apple, as well as her husband.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Sue Ann Zamora, of Greeley; her son, Glen Williamson, now of Longmont, Colorado; and two granddaughters, Ruth Craig, of Jackson, Mississippi, and Luisa Zamora, of Spokane, Washington.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm Thursday, August 17, 2023, at First Congregational Church Greeley, 2101 16^th St, Greeley, Co 80631.
